Thousands of leaflets were handed out on the day, highlighting the stripping out of services from the essential Charing Cross Hospital and the closure of Ravenscourt Park Hospital. In the previous financial year the Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust had the second largest deficit in the country, amounting to a massive £37 million, which is a key part in the ongoing threat to the future of Charing Cross Hospital, which faces closure by stealth, with key services already being moved to the inaccessible Hammersmith Hospital site.     "Aidan is a very good ambassador for the Party in general - the sort of person who gets people to like the Conservatives!" Aidan coordinated the whole event, which saw 100 vehicles (including one Routemaster bus!) and 300 people take part. Aidan was interviewed live by BBC News 24 and Radio 4 about the protest, which also made the front page of the BBC News website, which receives over 22 million hits per day. This is something the Council ise working to address with the first ever Home Buy initiative. You can read more about it here   Read more...   Aidan Campaigns for Better Estates   Aidan recently met with representatives from the Edward Woods Estate in Hammersmith to see first hand the state of repair of their estate, after 40 years of Labour control. The estate was in a bad state of repair, with lose and cracked paving stones the norm. Aidan is now pressing for improvements at the Town Hall on behalf of Local Residents.
