Since my election, I have successfully campaigned to remove abandoned lorries around North End Road market – many of which had been left to fester under for over four years. The lorries - on Armadale, Racton, Eustace, Seddlescombe, Halford and Anselm Roads – had become covered in graffiti and rubbish. The previous Labour administration did nothing about these eyesores and ignored resident’s requests to get them removed. Conservative candidates made it a key election pledge to remove these eyesores at the local elections in May and delivered on our pledge within just four months of being elected.
